Been telling Callan I was coming to review his food after him talking it up very highly. I am food connoisseur. Finally had time to go tonight. Staff were very welcoming even though I was only in for takeaway. Won’t even lie I was blown away. Got the sharebox takeaway and wow. Superb. Will be back 10/10.
What a superb meal! The food (mussels, fish, creme brulee) was beautifully cooked and presented. The atmosphere was just right: friendly and attentive but nicely informal. Those two AA rosettes were well-deserved. Thank you.
We visited the cornerstone as a family of 8. The full experience from entering the restaurant to leaving was 5 star. The food was outstanding and the service was fabulous. Definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed.
One of our best meals during our two weeks in Scotland was at the Cornerstone in Mallaig. The lovely evening started with the owner’s warm/sincere welcome and then continued with beautiful harbor views and excellently prepared food dishes. Everything is fresh and well portioned (and the desserts should not be missed). Our only regret is that our itinerary didn’t allow for an additional night in Mallaig so we could eat there again.
