Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. It was Saturday night, place was packed, so we elected to eat at the bar. They had a Bloody Mary special with their own homemade mix. Only $5, unless you wanted a premium vodka then it was $10. Made with a generous pour and the mix was great with just enough heat, two olives and two spicy green beans. I love a good Bloody Mary and they’re harder to find than they should be. I'd defiantly have another one here. We decided to share several appetizers. Had a “cup” of crawfish ettoufee. It was more of a small bowl. An order of Cane River Pirogue (which I mispronounced) - so good! A creamy rich crawfish sauce served over French bread. A tad salty for me, but I don't put salt on anything so probably not something most would taste. And saving the best for last, mini meat pies. Came with six, the dough was perfect and just enough spice in the filling, served with a side of a very good remoulade sauce.
Not as good as it was bragged up to be. We ordered the catfish And the menu said two filets. We asked the waitress why and she said they switched vendors so it’s only one filet now. What a crock. We won’t go back, it wasn’t worth the money. The waitress was great but the food wasn’t.
Excellent food!!!!! Great atmosphere!!!! Karah is excellent and super friendly!!!! Right on the water with great stores!!!
First of all, Emily was absolutely precious! Kind and sweet girl. Second, the redfish was delicious. Third... the SQUASH CASSEROLE... sublime!! I also had the green beans (good, but nothing to really write home about). My friend had the grilled squash and I had a slice... very good! 10/10 recommend this place for really good food! Now... can I please have the squash casserole recipe??
