Good shower -
The bath was meant to be a place of cleansing, a quiet retreat from the day's grime. But as the warm water coursed down, fate had other plans. A moment of ease turned to horror as an unexpected visitor made its abrupt entrance—only to meet the full force of the shower’s jet. In an instant, it was blown to smithereens, fragments scattering like a ruined masterpiece across the porcelain and up the tiled wall. Convinced the ordeal was over, I toweled off, only to discover that my victory was premature. The battle had not ended. Back into the bath I went.
Thick pillows. Comfy bed, friendly staff. Thin door.
Travelodge continues to sit towards the top of my UK based affordable hotels. Very impressed by the staff who at this Travelodge were a credit to the brand. Check-in and check-out was painless, the hotel was clean & well maintained. Will continue to use when travelling in the UK.
Had a lovely stay but could do with some privacy on windows so light and privacy can be achieved in the rooms.
Lovely staff, Kenny, Karen, Katlin & Sarah!
Great experience at this travel lodge compared to the many other lodges we’ve stayed at.
Double bed was comfortable, room was very clean and staff friendly. Would definitely stay here again 🙂
The front side of the lodge is exposed to noises very frequently by engine idling by vehicles that park there also for the restaurant that's directly next to the Travelodge. This is outside of the control and professional service that the staff there provide but worth mentioning as it does affect those sleeping on the front side. They also welcome pets, which I was disturbed by barking on occasion. I was also disturbed by one individual slamming next door, even during hours such as 3am, which again is outside of the control of Travelodge, but they did explain they will inspect during night staff shifts. My score is actually 4.5 because the staff are genuinely there trying to give the best service they can, but not 5 stars because the walls do allow unwanted smells to protrude through such as unhygienic and chemical types of smells as well as certain amount of sound. My suggestion is to introduce a review system for customers where other customers and the staff at Travelodge can give reviews of customers who are staying with them, which I feel would be a loving way of exposing the unloving behaviour that is often going unaddressed and will help those being unloving have something else that can also help them address their unloving behaviour
