Worthwhile visiting just for the views. The views are just the cream on the cake, however. Visit for the history. A good place to start when in Carmona.

We visited another time with another friend and saw some parts of the Necropolis that we missed the previous visit as it had been raining during the first visit. On our first visit, we missed probably the most important and spectacular part of the necropolis. This incredible complex burial and social area was furthest away from the entrance and well downhill from it. On our visit in October entrance was free.

Fui con varios amigos a la experiencia Premium, que incluye la cata y recomendaciones para disfrutar de un buen gin tonic.
El sitio es espectacular, muy cuidado en el detalle y con una historia poco conocida si no eres del lugar.
La visita muy interesante y amena, el chico que nos atendió fue muy amable, gran conocedor de la historia que nos estaba contando y dándonos todas las herramientas para entender el éxito de esta marca.
Una vez terminada la historia pasamos a la cata de las distintas ginebras donde nos indicaba en que fijarnos y como realizarla para obtener la mejor experiencia.
Para terminar nos impartió una clase magistral de como preparar un buen gin tonic.

Surprised and a tad disappointed that the amphitheatre not open. Seemingly because it was a weekday visit.
Nevertheless the Necropolis was engaging. With a cogent outline and descriptions of the numerous tombs, it was an absorbing walk around the delineated site.

La estancia en Carmona ha sido una gran experiencia. La gente muy amable, la feria una combinación de tradición, música y folklore. Y lo mejor, para los que nos gusta conocer la historia y la cultura de cada sitio, recomiendo la visita guiada con minibus con Alfonso, historiador conocedor de Carmona por sus conocimientos combinado con su experiencia personal con la que transmite carinyo i respeto por su ciudad y su gran conocimiento sobre su historia que me ha llegado al corazón.

Is so interesting with much written in English too … costs peanuts to get in and free for those over 65! Highly recommend !
It’s a delightful space to step into. Gleaming white arcaded columns and arches extend on all sides.
Numerous eateries and cafes are here, all adding to the atmosphere.
Square where had a drink or a meal at some of the bars and watched the busy life within Carmona as there was a festival on

Todos los monumentos muy interesantes: Puerta de Sevilla y Córdoba , puente romano, necrópolis romana, el Alcázar de arriba etc. Muy buenos lugares para comer.

José María Requena was born in Carmona in 1925. Not only was he an esteemed writer across a number of genres but he also had a law degree.
So fitting that this fine library is named in his honour. There is a black and white photo of him at his typewriter.
In a gorgeous home it provides a wide range of services to the community.We were fortunate that just as we arrived a chap was opening up for the afternoon. Particularly given that it’s the beautiful Palacio Descalzas, now a cultural centre.
Over a couple of floors it was to stroll around, viewing and admiring many good art works, predominantly modern and contemporary. As well as enjoying the ornate surrounds.

A Hospitaller of Saint John of God he was canonised by Pope John Paul II in 1996. This fine monument was inaugurated with much ceremony in 2022 after its sculpturing by Rubén Fernández.A superb façade is an immediate attraction of this landmark edifice. Multifaceted style-wise, it all culminates to a distinctive and cherished build in the centre.
Named in tribute to Bernardo Enrique Cerezo who funded the undertaking. Interestingly, partly from his Lottery winnings.
